We’re Footing The Bill For This Party But Where’s the Doorman

April 30, 2006 on 7:04 pm | In zebu newz | No Comments

The bride was radiant. The groom was, as usual, nervous but the wedding went off without a hitch and everyone headed off to the reception. And a grand affair is was.

All the family and friends were there having a good time when the bride mentioned to the groom that there were many people there that she didn’t know. She asked, “who’s that and do we know them? Who are these people that are taking all our food and drink? Did you invite them,” she asked? The groom didn’t know how they got in. The parents didn’t know either. The doorman kept quiet.

Suddenly, some of the strangers came up to the bride and groom and said they didn’t like the food or the music. “Where’s the Mariachi band? Where are the tacos and burritos? And we don’t like this cake. There is no Mexican flag on top,” they said.

The groom told them, “look, you don’t have an invitation card so who are you to say these things?”

The party crashers, who apparently got by a doorman that wasn’t doing his job, now demanded an invitation to the wedding. “It’s not fair” they said. “We demand to be invited to this party now that we’re already here.”

The bride and groom said no. “You can’t come here without an invitation card and use the facilities we paid for and expect us to let you stay.”

The party crashers were incensed that they were not given invitations after the fact so they said they would boycott all weddings and parties in the area. They planned a great march to protest the mean bride and groom whose food and drink they took without the required invitation card. They waved the flag of the area they were from and called the bride and groom greedy racists for not allowing them to stay and get all the freebies.

Well, this got the attention of the bouncers who were on hand to take care of those who show up and abuse the free booze so they rounded up the party crashers and asked for their invitation cards. They had none so the bouncers tossed them out the door and put them on a bus to a land far away.

The next weekend at another party, the same people showed up uninvited demanding free service again. The very same people. How did they get in again?

Easy. They doorman wasn’t doing his job so they just walked right in and used the facilities at no cost to them.

After all, the party givers were footing the bill and the crashers felt they were entitled because they had friends in “liberal” places.

U.S. gives Mexico millions for security

U.S. gives Mexico millions for security

WASHINGTON, Feb. 13 (UPI) — Mexico reportedly received some $376 million from the United States in the past decade to use its military and police to protect America’s southern border.

Another $50 million is due this year, authorized quietly through State and Defense departments, to help Mexico fight alien and drug smugglers and guard against terrorists, reports The Washington Times.
U.S. Rep. Rick Renzi, R-Ariz., a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, told the newspaper the program has helped put narco-terrorists and smugglers on the defense.

But veteran U.S. Border Patrol agent T.J. Bonner called the program “appalling,” saying it amounts to the government funding attacks on U.S. law-enforcement personnel along the border by rogue Mexican military troops.

“This funding program should cease immediately, and the Mexican government needs to be placed on notice that any further incursions by its military or police will not be tolerated,” he told the newspaper.

Mexico denies any of its military personnel have been involved in recent border incursions and has blamed drug smugglers.

Tensions are rising in a neighborhood where border crossers who gather on a street corner south of Downtown to be hired for the day mix with dope dealers, alcoholics and thieves. Neighbors - including Southside Presbyterian Church, home base of the No More Deaths border activists - have complained to police about the day laborers.

Queen Creek….The Illegal Alien Legacy

October 30, 2005 on 6:18 pm | In zebu newz | No Comments

While some people want to help the illegals with food, etc. here’s a sample photo of the wash they live in.

You be the judge. Do you really think this is healthy for the community of Queen Creek or are the illegals allowed to live freely in the wash for the benefit of the people who hire them. Whatever the reason this is allowed to continue, it certainly isn’t safe for the children who play here.

Queen Creek…. The Invasion Debate Rages On
October 29, 2005 on 1:35 pm | In zebu newz | 1 Comment

It seems the citizens of Queen Creek are at odds about how to manage the illegal alien invasion of their fair city. Some, and rightly so, want to enforce the laws of our land and send the illegals packing back to old Mexico while others are wringing their hands about how awful we treat the downtrodden and oppressed.

Some would take up arms and run them out. Some want the “Border Patrol” to get rid of them. Not sure exactly what their job is but it sure isn’t stopping the illegal invasion. More like trying to stop the ocean tide with a sponge. Ain’t gonna happen without more backup from Washington.

Some want to give them tuna and crackers and fawn all over them like a new batch of kittens.

Whoever finally takes action you can bet you won’t see these bleeding hearts out there feeding them. They talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. They sit in their comfy homes and talk of feeding and clothing the poor dears but you’ll never see them out there doing it.

So that leaves us with the citizens for proper enforcement of law and order to shoulder the burden and get the authorities to do what they’re paid for. Their job. Only who’s it going to be? The Sheriff or the “Border Patrol”? Whose responsibility is it anyway? The local cops or the feds? The feds sure don’t want to touch this hot potato till election time. Then they’ll milk it for all it’s worth. The Sheriff is outnumbered 1000 to 1. What can they do? Run in a drunken illegal or arrest a trespasser now and then?

At first I thought the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps was a bunch of ultra right wing nuts but they’ve gotten some good work done. They slowed the invasion for a time and won some respect from the people. They hit the front lines and got results. Kudos to them.

The residents of the Sierra Vista and Hereford area went so far as to place an ad in the Sierra Vista Herald thanking the Minutemen for their good work in helping to close down the border to illegal aliens.

At least America still has some men with common sense and the guts to do something about it. Washington sure doesn’t. They lost their spine when being a congressman became a career goal instead of a patriotic duty.

So for now the onus is on the locals only they put more effort into arguing with each other then they do the problem of the illegal alien invasion.

Queen Creek… passing the buck

October 3, 2005 on 8:29 am | In zebu newz | No Comments

Update:
The Queen Creek leadership is aware of the problem and they say they have been working on it. It’s going to take a community wide response to work out the problem. Co-operation from local landowners is needed to clean up the wash in the sections that are on their property.

The town cannot force out squatters on private property unless the landowners report trespassing on their property to the sheriff. But why would they want to do that. They would lose their labor pool.

It’s going to take an effort on the part of all citizens. And not just those directly affected by the illegal home-steaders because it is affecting everyone in the area right now by lowering property values and the quality of “life in the desert”.

Queen Creek…. update:
October 2, 2005 on 9:20 am | In zebu newz | No Comments

I have been told they are illegal immigrants who walk to the Town Center in the morning to get picked up for day labor jobs. They go back to the wash at night to get drunk and sleep.
This was confirmed by the sheriff.

So the question; are they bums, homeless or illegal is answered.
Will the Border Patrol do its’ job or are the jobs the illegals are doing more important?

Will the local politicians permit the illegals to live in the wash in exchange for securing the Latino vote? At what point does the price of re-election become too high. The local leaders are prostituting themselves for votes and putting the citizens of Queen Creek at risk.
More to come.

The Ugly Side of Life in the Desert

September 30, 2005 on 3:28 pm | In zebu newz | No Comments

Queen Creek is one of the fastest growing towns in the state of Arizona if not the country.

At one time, if you wanted to buy a new home, you could sign up on a list for prospective buyers, already qualified and ready to move, and hope you got picked in the lottery.
Now, some builders have announced they are no longer accepting names for these lists. They can’t build them fast enough because the demand is so strong.

Many affluent people are building custom homes in the area transforming old farm land into beautiful neighborhoods and communities like the Will Rogers Equestrian Ranch.

Along with this influx of good people are a large number of transients. These squatters foul the lovely washes used by horseback riders and hikers. They leave behind piles of trash and waste, including the human kind, turning this burgeoning paradise into a solid waste dump of the most unsanitary kind.

Citizens of Queen Creek are starting to react to this invasion by informing city leaders and public officials of their dissatisfaction with the situation.

There is even talk of starting a posse and forcing the illegals out of the area although I’m not so sure this is legal. It certainly isn’t safe. Even if armed the citizens could face a lawsuit if something goes wrong and somebody gets hurt. Caution is urged here.

Let those charged with authority take action and clean up this mess before it gets ugly or should I say uglier.
